About Irene
Irene holds a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering and worked for years as an electro-mechanical engineer in aerospace, including project manager positions for multi-million dollar programs.
After leaving a cult, Irene used song writing as a way of rebuilding a new identity with intention. Her performances range from listening room acoustic sets to rock and roll shows, heavily focused on lyrics and story.
Through personal storytelling online Irene became an influencer, now with almost 600k followers on instagram and growing. Her community focuses on identity, empowerment, and education. She partners with companies that align with her values.
With a large online following, she left engineering for entrepreneurship with her company Door Walker Coffee and started her own YouTube show called Golf With Irene. She also uses her music and storytelling in private retreats, concerts, and speaking events.
A Timeline
Oct 2016 - Mar 2018
Grew up in a strict Mormon household. Served a Mormon mission and lived in Honduras.
Oct 2018 - Nov 2019
After a life altering event, Irene left the church, dropped out of college, became estranged from family, friends, and went through identity collapse.
January 2020 - May 2021
Started writing music, using the secret name Irene (a name she received at 19 in the Mormon temple as one of her tokens to get into heaven) as a muse for rebuilding identity. During this time, she pursued a degree in psychology and completed a two year associate degree of arts.
June 2021 - April 2022
Switched to a degree in mechanical engineering as a way of challenging her mind. Released her first album High Water as a collection of songs that spoke of the new friendships and relationships she was building.
Went viral on social media for her storytelling. Started performing and doing small tours, started filming the Door Walker origin story released as music videos. Worked full time in aerospace as an engineering associate.

May 2024 - Jan 2025
Graduated and promoted to leadership role as project engineer designing control system actuators for aircraft. Gained momentum on social media, over 300k followers.
Feb 2025 - Dec 2025
Started Golf With Irene show on Youtube. Acquired coffee company and rebranded as Door Walker Coffee. Left engineering and performed private concerts, working with Yale professionals on retreats using the Door Walker origin story. Became an official parter of the Builders Movement, working to build bridges between political parties and fight "us vs them" mentality. Crossed over 500k followers on Instagram.
What Now?
Currently organizing tours with retreats, concerts, growing Door Walker coffee, expanding Golf With Irene, and partnering with brands on social media.
